Students in the University of Oklahoma Piano and Organ Department are part of a program that has influenced piano performance and education around the world. The Piano and Organ Department offers a broad range of degree programs, including piano performance, pedagogy or combination programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.

OU keyboard students enjoy a top-notch music education experience consisting of weekly private instruction with the award-winning faculty, studio performance classes, and departmental recitals. Celebrated guest artists and scholars from across the nation also regularly present lectures, master classes and recitals. Among the unparalleled facilities available at OU is the Ruby Grant Piano Pedagogy Resource Center – a field research center with the latest in teaching materials and equipment, including two high-tech digital piano laboratories and an excellent collection of audio, video and computer equipment. OU’s commitment to excellence in it’s keyboard programs is further demonstrated by Catlett Music Center’s extraordinary 3-manual, 38-stop pipe organ, handcrafted by C.B. Fisk, one of the world’s foremost organ-building firms.
