Dr. Christine Souza, visiting instructor for the University of Oklahoma School of Music, is a member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Fort Smith Symphony. A talented percussionist, she recently performed at the 2006 International Music Festival in Belem, Brazil and is an active member in the Percussive Arts Society.

Souza reveived her bachelor's degree in percussion performance from the University of Missouri in 1988. She earned both her master's degree and her doctoral degree in percussion performance from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and 2004, respectively.
